Scalpel Needs a Friend.

chisel squeaks happily but then smacks him with her tail again. she seems annoy that he's gone back to being mean to this guy again.

"Okay, okay, sorry.." he said as he gave her a poke. he glanced at Jack "Look, I apologize for what I just said. I'm just not yet used to being around people who aren't trying to slice me open and pull out my guts." he said with a bit tenseness. "I'm sorry for directing that animosity at you, you have no relationship with my Keeper's lair to the best of my knowledge, so I shouldn't of treated you like such."

Jack just shrugs then gives a slight smile.

"Don't worry about it.We both just got back from a place that was Hell itself.We are both still affected by our time there.But we will only get over it if we try to move on.And besides" Jack sticks his tongue out at Scalpel "I doubt I would have any use for your guts.Unless they contain some massive secret.Even then its more of a mess then it is worth." He can't help but give a slight chuckle.

Scalpel was already walking away after his apology and waved good bye "Don't get lost, this city looks to be confusing." he called back at the darkling.

Jack looks over to Scalpel leaving,an annoyed look spread over his face,before running off after him.

"Don't think you will lose me that easily!"

Scalpel looked back at him "Don't. Follow. Me." he said as he glared at him, no longer being friendly.

Jack just rolls his eyes.

"Fine,I won't follow you.But considering we are both going to the same place it would be more like we just happen to end up going in the same direction.No need to be grouchy."

Scalpel held his hand out and gently pushed Scratch into the wall "No, don't start spouting that bullshit. You have no idea where I'm going to go, you stated not thirty seconds ago that I wasn't going to lose you, ergo you were wanting to follow me. I am not in the mood for company, not now and not for awhile to come. If you want to talk to me every couple weeks or so that's fine, but do NOT follow me around like a lost puppy, it's insulting and embarrassing." he said as he calmed down. "Sorry. It's just that we're not friends, barely acquaintances, and I dislike being followed by people I don't know. So please don't ever follow me unless I am trying to lead you somewhere." he said as he turned and walked away.

Jack just shakes his head then watches Scalpel go.

"Fine,have it your way then.I'm going to return to the Winter Queen and see what else she is willing to tell me.And if we happen to run into each other along the way then I wasn't following you."

Jack just brushes himself off then starts heading back toward the home of the Winter Queen,hoping he can find his way back there.

((Jack doesn't have any streetwise but he does have a dot in survival and ok wits so I will say that after looking around for a while, maybe like 15 minutes, he ends up finding his way back. Or if lyla pops out and helps him it's sooner. You can go post either in the getting schooled thread or start a new one on that board.))

so scalpel keeps walking around through the alley ways. but the alleys are not infinate. eventually he comes to a divide where both alleys end in open street. one street has louder, jovial noise coming from it, like there could be a bar nearby. the other looks to open out onto a park.

Scalpel looked around as they finally left the alleyways and glanced at Chisel "So, where do you think we should go girl?" he asked as he shivered a bit, the cold starting to get to him.

She sniffs the air a little bit in each direction.
"Both have interesting."

Scalpel smiled and gave her a pat on her little rat haunches "Okay Chisel. In that case, let's get out of the cold first.. maybe we could get a sympathy drink and a sandwich.. which extra cheese and lettuce ^^"
