Sleep Tight, Jack

Lyla brings Jack to a very nice hotel. It is very nice. It has wood work that implies a forested area and large, flat, riverbed-like stones for the flooring in the entrance way. There is also a fireplace with big, comfy looking leather chairs around it in the lobby. It is not the largest hotel, and though the outside is also nice, walking into it feels very much like entering a dream of sorts.

There is a fairly pretty girl with chestnut hair and blue eyes working at the desk when they enter. She smiles warmly at them. To Jack's eyes she seems to have a strange halo of glamour or some other aura about her. Lyla would recognize her as an enscorcelled, though she probably does not recognize her in general.

"Welcome to the Château. How can I help you?" she looks like she quickly flips through something behind the counter.

lyla seems like she knows the place, but not like she frequents it. she matches the receptionist's smile and says, "he's new in town, needs a place to stay for the night. what do you have open?"

she glances back at jack to make sure he's not wondering off in the large foyer, then turns quickly back to the receptionist. "ah, i forgot. dc mentioned the ambassador's treatment?"

Jack's eyes wonder around the building he finds himself in.Everything seems so fancy he can't help but feel a wee bit out of place.It all seems like a dream.he has to resist the urge to want to pinch himself.He doesn't want to believe it could all be a dream.This place is so much nicer then That Place ever was.His eyes meets the girl at the desk and he looks at her curiously.What is with that aura of hers?Lyla doesn't seem worried so he guesses he shouldn't be either.He turns his quickly so as not to be rude and stare.

The receptionist meets Jack's gaze and smiles back at him knowingly. Jack gets, for the briefest of moments, the feeling that she's seeing him for what he truly is.

"Ah, I see. We do still have a couple of suites open." She reaches under the counter and produces a key card which she holds out in their direction. "Feel free to help yourself to anything in the room, no charge. Our complimentary breakfast starts at 7. Don't hesitate to call room service if you need anything." She smiles again at Jack.

Jack blushes a bit and nods,while trying to brush it off.His skin being pure white makes hiding it very difficult to do.

"Right,umm,thanks.I'll try not to miss it." He reaches out and takes the key card "Umm,which room is it Ma'am?"

"Room 403," she smiles pleasantly, indicating a space on the card that says the room number.

Jack blushes a bit more,this time more from embarrassment over being so oblivious.

"Uhh,right,thanks.Could you point me in the direction of the room please?I'm assuming its upstairs but I could be wrong."

"It's on the forth floor. If you'd like to take the stairs, they're down that hallway," she jesters. "There is also an elevator down that way also."

Jack bows his head.

"Thank you for everything."

He then turns and starts heading for the stairs and toward his room.

And jack walks up four flights of stairs, assuming he doesn't break down and take an elevator, and arrives at his room. It is incredibly swanky. Similarly to what you've seen of the hotel so far, it is decorated in a similar fashion. The most prominent feature of the room is probably above all else, the large, comfy looking bed.

Jack's eyes widen when he sees his room.Ok,there is no way this can be happening.This all has to be a dream this can't be...Ahh screw it! Jack runs,taking a moment to slip off his shoes,and jumps into the bed,bouncing a few times before burying his face in the pillows.If this is all a dream he is damn well going to enjoy it.How he missed a nice,soft,comfy bed.

And the bed is the most soft and comfy thing ever. Or at least it probably seems that way after escaping from hell. Does jack go to sleep or does he investigate the room at all?

Jack just lays there,,not wanting to get up, just thinking about everything that has happened so far.A nice comfy bed,people not out to kill him.With a smile on his face Jack slowly but surely drifts into an easy sleep for the first time in ages.

and jack goes to sleep and has surprisingly peaceful dreams. i will let you decide at what time he re-awakens.

(I figure he will wake up around 10-11.Wouldn't want to miss breakfast)

Jack awakens to the sound of small feet running down the halls and muffles laughter. If he looks at the clock it appears to be around 10:30.

Jack's eyes slowly as he hears the sounds coming from the hallway away.He sleepily glances over to the clock in the room,sees that it is 10:30 and moans as he pushes himself up out of bed,rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.He stretches a bit,happy to have had a good night sleep since...he can't even remember the last time he did.He yawns and looks around the room.He thinks about getting dressed before he remembers that he fell asleep wearing closes.He just shrugs,walks over to the door and looks out into the hallway to see where the sound came from.

He sees what looks to be the tail of some kind of dog disappearing into the stairwell.

Jack just raises an eyebrow at this.He quickly gets on his shoes and,after locking up his room, heads in the direction of the dog to see what is going on.

They lead him to a staircase that goes down. He can hear a door closing at the bottom of it.

Jack heads down the staircase and,after a brief moment,knocks then opens the door.

It is a door that leads to another landing. Most likely these stairs lead to the first floor lobby area.

Jack heads down the next flight of stairs and opens the door,seeing if anyone is around.

He doesn't see anyone. Though given the time of day, it was most likely someone going down to breakfast.

Jack shakes his head,getting over curious about nothing.Brushing the last few feelings of sleep away,he decides to go and check out what they have serve for breakfast.It feels like its been years since he last ate good food.
